Phil Plait (Bad Astronomer) posted a heads-up about a Venus-Neptune conjunction tonight. I haven't been keeping an eye out for these, but it turned out to be a great close pairing. This is a stack of five 300 mm shots — at f/7.1 to see how fancy the diffraction spikes on Venus would get :) besides yellowing up as it descended into the horizon. An excellent Earthshine crescent moon was smiling & hiding further below the shot.
I like astronomy, archaeology, photography, music and drinking a lot of tea. I hate politics. Something that annoys me: that I shall not respect the permanence, and to take me by what I'm not. The best sign: VIRGO. The worst: the health. The best: adapt and know how to get ahead.
