Comet C/2020 F3 NEOWISE taken this morning on July 13th, 2020, exactly at 00:00 CEST. 21 pictures were stacked. For the first time I was able to detect the blue plasma or ion tail. This showed how important a dark sky is: While I was unable to take a photograph of the ion tail yesterday morning, today with excellent transparency and a dark sky in a field near Großdobritz, municipality of Niederau, Saxony. This confirms again how important a dark sky is. The comet is a magnificent object. You can't take your eyes off it, an unforgettable experience in my 11 x 80 binoculars!
