I have a lot more processing to do on this, but wanted to share so far. This is a tracked image of C/2020 F3 (NEOWISE) from this morning. There appears to be a couple ion tail streamers on the left edge. They appear to be different colors. I'm not sure if this is an artifact of imaging, twilight interference, or processing — I tried to be careful to avoid introducing color shifts. I think this is going to get even better as it accesses darker skies even though growing fainter. | Wupatki National Monument, Arizona, USA | 3:52-3:57 AM MST / 1052-1057 GMT | Canon EOS 6D Mark II | Canon EF 70-300 mm f/4-5.6 lens | 12 exposures stacked: 300mm, 15 sec. ea., f/5.6, ISO 800 | Image is cropped approx. 2/3 original size.
I like astronomy, archaeology, photography, music and drinking a lot of tea. I hate politics. Something that annoys me: that I shall not respect the permanence, and to take me by what I'm not. The best sign: VIRGO. The worst: the health. The best: adapt and know how to get ahead.
