The image is a HDR (high dynamic range) panoramic view, obtained from the medieval village of Sant Llorenç de la Muga (Girona, Spain). Sant Llorenç de La Muga is a walled town following the course of the meander formed by the river Muga. It is known that the site of the village was already inhabited in Roman times and was fortified with walls and watchtowers in the 14th and 15th centuries. It took 124 photographs to capture the whole scene, with a wide angular field and to obtain detail in the lights of the village. A modified digital camera (full spectrum transmission) and a wide-angle 35 mm at f/2 lens were used. A young couple is observing the comet in the foreground on the left, which was well visible at the naked eye. The mountains in the background belong to France, whose border is several kilometers away. The comet NEOWISE c/2020 F3 shows long tails, especially the ionic one, which reaches the upper edge of the image. On the right is the Milky Way with the double star cluster of Perseus at the bottom.
I like astronomy, archaeology, photography, music and drinking a lot of tea. I hate politics. Something that annoys me: that I shall not respect the permanence, and to take me by what I'm not. The best sign: VIRGO. The worst: the health. The best: adapt and know how to get ahead.
