On the occasion of the upcoming Planetarium Centennial, the special postage stamp was ceremoniously unveiled at the Zeiss Planetarium Jena. Representatives of the Federal Ministry of Finance handed over so-called red albums to Dr. Björn Voss (GDP) and Martin Kraus (Head of Planetarium Division, ZEISS). These include not only the stamps themselves but also a personal greeting from the Federal Minister of Finance.
Furthermore, many interested philatelists and representatives of the press attended the event.
Since October 5, the special issue stamps have been available for the public to buy. Those who want to get hold of one or more stamps in combination with the popular special postmark will have the opportunity to do so on Saturday, October 21.
