PLANETARIUM IN THE WESTERN HEMISPHERE, OPENED IN 1930. THE ADLER PLANETARIUM'S PROJECTOR WAS NUMBER 15.

It is not surprising that the first planetarium installations after introducing the Zeiss-Planetarium in Munich in 1923 took place in Germany. Barmen (now Wuppertal) got the first Mark II projector, followed by Leipzig, Düsseldorf, Jena, Dresden, Berlin, Mannheim and Nuremberg, Vienna was the first city outside Germany to present the artificial stars under the dome. Roma and Moscow opened planetariums in 1928 and 1929.
Chicago got the first planetarium in the Western Hemisphere, opened in 1930. The Adler Planetarium's projector was number 15.
