PERSEIDS METEOR SHOWER Taken by Marketa Murray on August 12, 2020 @ Hawaii - Big Island

While you were sleeping, the Perseids shower light up the sky. The meteors are called the Perseids because the point from which they appear to hail lies in the constellation Perseus. I was shooting time-lapse from 2am-5am, because we are too far south and constellation Perseus is bellow horizon till about 11pm. We also had about 43% of moon illuminating night skies. But we had amazing clear skies and view on Mauna Kea. I didn't really like my timelapse, so I took 34 frames and composite them in one photo.
