EGYPTIAN MUSIC INSTRUMENTAL 👳‍♂️ RETURN TO ANCIENT EGYPT

EGYPTIAN PARADISE 🌈 RELAXING EGYPTIAN MUSIC L STRESS AND ANXIETY RELIEF

AURORA OVER CHINA Taken by Jeff Dai on April 24, 2023 @ Karamay, Xinjiang, China

Aurora over China ! It's a dream view of mine for 10 years. I get the GEOMAGNETIC STORM forecast at 0:30 AM at Xinjiang. Then I decided to drive north against the nearby light pollution. Finally the red norther light appears from the north horizon at 3AM. It can be see by my naked eye. As the time passes, the aurora become stronger. I notice that it appears over my head. It's truly spectacular! My dream come true. Seeing the aurora at China is very difficult, maybe 1-2 times every 11 years.

                                      M1 = 10 C1

                      M2 = 2 M1 = 2 *10 C1 = 20 C1

A DANGEROUS SUNSPOT

Big sunspot AR3288 has an unstable 'delta-class' magnetic field that harbors energy for powerful X-class solar flares. If such an explosion does occur today, it will be geoeffective. The sunspot is almost directly facing Earth.

Pepe Manteca has been watching the sunspot from Begues, Spain: "Today, region AR3288 has emitted 4 C-class solar flares. I was fortunate to be able to capture this C8.8-class explosion from beginning to end."

"It was very exciting!" he says.

Compared to the X-flares AR3288 is capable of unleashing, these C-flares are minor and weak. A steady diet of weak may be draining energy from the active region, preventing it from unleashing the Big One. Amateur astronomers with solar telescopes are encouraged to monitor developments. As Manteca's photos show, even "weak" flares can be very photogenic.

Hello, Region 3088 today has emitted 4 Solar Flare, I have been fortunate to be able to capture from the beginning to the end of the C8.8 class solar flare. Very exciting!

ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE GESELLSCHAFT DEUTSCHSPRACHIGER PLANETARIEN E.V. (GDP) IN SOLINGEN.

Yesterday, the annual conference of the Gesellschaft Deutschsprachiger Planetarien e.V. (GDP) in Solingen came to an end. We were able to experience exciting contributions, as well as interesting discussions and successful presentations. We took the opportunity to introduce our new Marketing Manager, Dr Andreas Schmidt. He was excited to give his first product presentation. His predecessor Volkmar Schorcht received an enthusiastic round of applause in recognition of his commitment to the community and his forty years of service to ZEISS.

2023 SOLAR ECLIPSE Taken by Eliot Herman on April 20, 2023 @ Ah Chong Island

I observed the 2023 eclipse on Ah Chong Island that is part of the Montebello group off the coast of Western Australia. This is a small 59 acre uninhabited island is not far from the 1950s UK nuclear test site, now a conservation site. This eclipse was bright, the sky not darkening much and the eclipse was brilliant in appearance. The flares were easily visible and in photographs considerable detail was apparent. The first image is all 27 images captured of the inner corona during the 62.7 seconds of totality. The second image shows the progression from Bailey's beads at C2 to C3. The third image shows the outer corona in a HDR stack. It was a remarkable experience to observe this eclipse far from the crowds and civilization with the only people visible was our small group of 15 observers on the beach of the island.

WILD CORONA OF 2023 SOLAR ECLIPSE Taken by Petr Horálek (Institute of Physics in Opava), Josef Kujal, Milan Hlaváč on April 20, 2023 @ Pebble Beach, Australia

Here comes a bit more sophisticated image of the solar corona during a recent hybrid eclipse. The image above is the result of deeper bracketing work, including calibration data. The orientation of the image is not exactly north-south (to preserve the full field of view). You can notice CME event in the solar corona as well. Some reflections made the result worse considering there was only 1 minute to take the image sequence, but the final view reveals more than was visible to the naked eye. The image shows the moment of the diamond ring phenomenon when the eclipse ends. Co-authors are Josef Kujal (of the Astronomy Society of Hradec Králové) and Milan Hlaváč. Used Canon 6D, Tamron 70-200mm, f2.8, ISO 100, vary exposures. More can be found here:
