REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE WORK //// CARL ZEISS PLANETARIUMS

The pandemic development here in Germany and many other countries makes it difficult to meet all service requirements. Travel restrictions, quarantine regulations and regulations that vary from place to place and country to country place increased demands on our service management. Nevertheless, we are very active to install new systems on schedule, to carry out repairs and maintenance work to the satisfaction of our customers. The period of pandemic-related downtime for many planetariums is in many places an opportunity for early or extended service work.

In recent weeks, we were able to put an older STARMASTER planetarium projector back into operation in Korea, we successfully completed service work on a VELVET fulldome system in the Czech Republic, a ZEISS fulldome system was maintained and upgraded in Spain, and in France our service technicians maintained an optical-mechanical planetarium projector. A lot also happened in Germany: a system upgrade in Laupheim, maintenance in Rodewisch and Oberkochen, and services in Heilbronn and Heidelberg. In Bochum (our photo), we completed the installation of our new VELVET LED fulldome system in the last few days. Despite COVID-19, our specialists will continue to visit numerous customers in December and January and provide further services.
