MARS 2020 OPPOSITION Taken by Peter Rosén on January 8, 2021 @ Different locations in Sweden

This is a compilation of approximately 30 images in infrared and color taken by 5 Swedish astrophotographers from September to November of 2020. We transformed the images into equirectangular maps that I stitched together seamlessly in Photoshop. I then remapped them back to a planet in StarryNightPro+6 and had it revolve a full turn. As this is a telescopic view, south is up and showing the bright southern polar cap at the top. The bright round spot visible in the middle of the planet after half a revolution is Olympus Mons, the largest volcano in the entire solar system.
