BOCHUM PLANETARIUM REACHED A NEW RECORD WITH MORE THAN 300,000 IN 2019

The number of visitors to the Bochum Planetarium reached a new record with more than 300,000 in 2019. The continuing success of the planetarium, which was founded in 1964, can be explained by the variety of programmes, which in more than 2,400 events appeal to space enthusiasts as well as culturally interested people, older visitors, families with children and a young, student audience.

Many planetariums achieved increased visitor numbers in 2019. This underlines the impact of the wide range of programs offered, from astronomical educational programs to concerts. Shortly before the planetarium centennial, the visitor records also underline the growing importance of the modern planetarium.

Congratulations to all planetariums for their successful work.
