COMET 12P TAIL DISCONNECTION Taken by Ujvárosi Beáta on May 15, 2024 @ Remotely from Hakos, Namibia

12P last night, clearly showing the effects of the current stormy space weather conditions with its tail 'ripped off' by solar wind. Imaged remotely via the Skygems Observatory Network, using a 10 cm. FSQ106 telescope located in Namibia. 4x120sec. frames for both L and B filters, and one 120 sec. frame for both G and R filters (a total of 20 mins) was used to create the final image.
