After 1 morning and 2 evenings lost due to equipment failures and user errors I've finally succeeded in recording the comet's ion tail. The comet's 2 tails have gotten longer; the photo shows the dust tail extending at least to the star Muscida (omicron UMa), which is 12° away from the comet's head, and the ion tail looks a similar length. Also, part of the dust tail extends horizontally, making it broader than a first glance reveals.
