Comet NEOWISE is now in its full glory for northern hemisphere observers and astrophotographers. This image was captured on the evening of July 15, 2020 at 10:54pm EDT using a Canon 6D, EF 70-200mm f/2.8L lens mounted on a Losmandy GM8 equatorial mount. 30 x 25 second exposures at ISO1600. While the stunning dust and ion tail are visible it also shows the formation of synchronic bands within the dust tail. The beautiful summer comet of 2020!
I like astronomy, archaeology, photography, music and drinking a lot of tea. I hate politics. Something that annoys me: that I shall not respect the permanence, and to take me by what I'm not. The best sign: VIRGO. The worst: the health. The best: adapt and know how to get ahead.
